CTL Audiovisual School announces the first European Audiovisual Creation Competition " 59 seconds " , which will take place biennially, with the following RULES : 1. - Participants The competition is open to any person over 16 years old with nationality and / or residence in Europe, who presents ,either individually or in group, works with a maximum length of 59 seconds (credit titles included).Works must not exceed this time. All works must be original. The aim of the EUROPEAN AUDIOVISUAL CREATION COMPETITION "59 SECONDS" is to spread, promote and encourage the implementation of amateur video art works . It is aimed at students and hobbyists who want to publicize, in person and on -line , audiovisual works that have artistic and technical value with a maximum duration of 59 seconds. The topic of the videos (development of a thematic idea or story line ) will be * choice and its content may have fiction or documentary nature . The Jury will particularly take into account originality, creativity and visual conceptual and formal experimentation, of the works. This contest was created to spread the artistic intent through video creation, considering as artistic intention all that is not merely communicative or informative , but which adds experimental, formal , poetic, philosophical content to the audiovisual creation in itself , using technical, grammatical, conceptual and aesthetic resources . 2 . - Presentation of works Works will be submitted either on line or physically at CTL office, with the following requirements: a) Participants should send to the e-mail address: 59segundos@ctl-online.com , an email with the following information (name of the director, synopsis and title of the work ) accompanied by a download link to an mp4 video file encoded H .264 and a 720 x 576 pixel resolution with 4:3 or 16:9 , hosted in one of these services : Dropbox , Google Drive, Microsoft SkyDrive or WeTransfer . All works will be subtitled in Spanish and / or English, provided that it contains dialogues, voice or text . b) Each participant can submit up to 3 works . 3 . - Registration and submissions In addition to sending the work as shown in Section 2, any author intending to join the competition must fill in the entry form , which can be downloaded from the website ( http://www.ctl - online.com ) and send it to the e-mail address, 59segundos@ctl-online.com .If the original work is collective, it must be completed with the details of all authors . Along with the entry form, the following must must also be sent as attachments: 1) A text document in Spanish with a short biography of the participant and a brief synopsis of the script 2) A photo of the audiovisual work, maximum of 400Kb , and in. jpg which must not contain the title (other than initial frame ) or superimposed subtitles . The period for registration and submission of papers opens on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 and ends on JANUARY 31, 2014. Awards and Screening: March 2014. The list of finalist selected works will be published on the web http://www.ctl - online.com Awards The jury will award the following prizes : a) Award for Best Audiovisual Creation 2014 " 59 seconds " (Diploma and 1,000 Euros) b ) Special Jury Award for Best Director of Navarra (Diploma) c ) Special Jury Mention for best experimental work (Diploma) The names of the 12 finalists will be posted on the website of CTL on March 3, 2014 .
